It’s easy to fall into life at Princeton. Centered around the students and the resulting community, the university puts a strong emphasis on the campus life and experience.

Housing is available for all undergraduates and almost all choose to stay on campus for their four years. A majority of graduates choose to as well (over 70%!). Combined with a focus on independent study, this experience is important to personal growth.

Whether a student is looking for a new interest or pursuing an old one further, Princeton has over 300 student organizations, which include dance, media, film, music, intramural sports, politics and government, debate, religion, and more. There are also dozens of events held on campus every year for students to attend. Opening Exercises is every fall to mark the start of a new year and Reunions end the school year. Reunions can actually bring 20,000 people to the campus! Students can also choose to take part in Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the International Festival, and Communiversity celebration.

If a sports fan or athlete, students can also participate in the Princeton Tigers. Princeton is an NCAA Division I school in the Ivy Group. With over 38 varsity sports and 35 club teams, there’s an activity to meet anything a student is looking for. The most popular sports on campus are Football, Basketball, and Rowing.

For further learning, Princeton offers students with an abundance of resources, including the Princeton University Library. Home to eleven million items, the collection actually includes an autographed manuscript of The Great Gatsby by former student, F. Scott Fitzgerald. Students, families, and guests can also visit the art museum on campus.

When you get out and about in the town of Princeton itself, make sure to take in the history of this New Jersey City. One place we recommend is the Princeton Battlefield.

With a strong emphasis on the culture of the school, Princeton students will never feel wanting for more.
