The New School

The New School is a fairly selective school. They receive roughly 9,520 applications each year. The overall acceptance rate tends to be around 57 percent which equates to about 5,450 students who were successful in the admission process of the school. However, when the semester begins, only about 1,420 or 26% of the candidates will have decided on The New School as their school of choice. Based on the application data, 21% of the students were men while 72% were women, however, after being accepted, only 74 percent of the women decided to study at The New School as compared to 18 percent of men who decided to enroll. The New School’s undergraduate application fee is unknown. First-year students should submit their ACT or SAT scores to The New School when applying. Often, an ACT score of 24 - 30 or a 1,170 - 1,370 SAT score is the range in which students have greater chances to be accepted. This institution also accepts Advanced Placement (AP) credits and Credit for life experiences.
