Award Amount: Full tuition and fees, includes a separate allowance for books and a monthly stipend of up to $3,780 a year Description: UW Army ROTC offers two to four year scholarship options for students eligible to pursue a commission as an officer. Scholarships are merit-based and are awarded to those who excel academically, are physically fit, and possess outstanding leadership potential. A student can apply for a full tuition (no cap) or room and board scholarship (up to $10,000 a year) to UW. Additionally, cadets receive a monthly stipend of $420 a month ($3780 per year) and a quarterly book allowance of $400. Eligibility: These are the minimum eligibility requirements to apply: -Be between the ages of 17 and 30 -Be a US Citizen -Be of high moral character -Be medically qualified -Meet physical fitness standards -Have a minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA -Be enrolled as a full time student at UW (Seattle or Bothell) -Be an academic Freshman or Sophomore -Be enrolled in a Military Science 100 or 200 level course
