Scholarships within the college are awarded to provide financial support based on need, academic achievement, or other specific scholarship criteria as outlined below. The Don Ridway/Colorado High School Press Association scholarship is made possible through retired professor Don Ridgway's daughters and friends. Ridgway was formerly the Campus Press advisor and one of the founders of the Colorado High School Press Association. Students who are Colorado residents and enrolled in the College of Communication, Media, Design and Information are eligible. A student who was a member of the Colorado High School Press Association is preferred. Financial need is a consideration. Applications are reviewed holistically, and selection criteria may include, but is not limited to, academic record, leadership experience, extracurricular involvement, community service, employment, essays, and in some cases, financial need as determined by the FAFSA/CASFA. Essays: Quality of writing and content are weighed heavily.
