For Palestinian students with little to no assets and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following majors — Engineering (all types), Physics, Chemistry (and Biochemistry), Mathematics, Botany, Biology (all types), Astrophysics, Astronomy, Aerospace, Anesthesiology, Anthropology, Archeology, Architecture, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Bioengineering, Computer Science, Dentistry, Medicine, Environmental Science, Epidemiology, Genetics or Neuroscience — the Donna L. Baer Scholarship provides scholarship support to UCLA undergraduates. Applicants must demonstrate high financial need as determined by the UCLA Financial Aid & Scholarships office. Scholarship payments support immediate needs in terms of college costs, specifically tuition, room and board at UCLA, including books, fees and other expenses associated with the pursuit at UCLA of a bachelor’s degree. Recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.5 and continue pursuing one of the majors listed above to keep receiving scholarship payments.
