The University of Texas at Austin (out-of-state)

Education Abroad: International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS) The International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS) was initially established in 1989 by a student referendum to encourage international education, including support for education abroad and international students. This scholarship supports enrolled UT Austin students studying, interning, or conducting research outside the U.S. Academic merit, financial need, and program factors are considered. Award amounts range between $1,200 - $1,800. Undergraduates and graduates are eligible to apply for education abroad in any international location, on any program, and any length of time. Students should be prepared to answer essay questions and questions regarding their program. Please note that other scholarships are available to students studying abroad through their college, school, or unit and we encourage students to connect with their scholarship coordinator or department chair to learn more about opportunities. Additionally, please note that Education Abroad scholarships are: -one-time awards, -recipients are not guaranteed to receive the scholarship in subsequent years, -meeting scholarship eligibility does not guarantee receiving an award.
