(1) Scholarship shall be awarded to a physically disabled student. Defined as one who is mobility, hearing, or visually impaired. Priority shall be given to a mobility impaired student. If the scholarship is not awarded, the income shall be reinvested in the corpus; (2) Applicants should have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and be registered for six or more hours during the semesters to be covered by the scholarship; (3) The scholarship is intended to cover college related, disability related, and/or living expenses; (4) Financial need shall be only one determinant in the selection of the recipient; (5) The recipient shall receive one-half of the award at the beginning of each long semester of the academic year. Past recipients are encourage to reapply and as long as the recipient shows progress toward a degree by maintaining the stated scholastic and enrollment requirements, previous recipients shall receive preference. Meeting scholarship eligibility does not guarantee awarding. This scholarship is awarded through the OSFA Continuing & Transfer Student Scholarship Application, available to current UT undergraduates and incoming external transfer undergraduates from November through mid-March each year.
