Sam Houston State University (out-of-state)

In the fall of 1992, a group of State Farm agents and employees who are alumni of SHSU decided to establish a fund to serve the interests of Sam Houston State University and its students. Approximately 115 Texas area alumni/State Farm agents and employees were solicited to participate in this program. The Donors wish to create a permanent endowment to provide need-based scholarships to students in good standing enrolled on a full-time basis at Sam Houston State University. The scholarships are especially intended to be substantial enough to make the difference between a student being able to attend college or not being able to attend. The endowment will generate funds for scholarships to be awarded in any discipline within the four colleges at Sam Houston State University.
