The Ron Mafrige College of Business Scholarship in honor of R. Dean Lewis was established by Ron Mafrige, Jr. in honor of R. Dean Lewis’s long and distinguished service to Sam Houston State University and the College of Business Administration. Ron Mafrige is a 1960 graduate of the College of Business, former member of the SHSU Alumni Association board of directors, the President’s Circle, and the College of Business Advisory Council. Ron served as the National Chair of the Share the Vision Capital Campaign, the first capital campaign in Sam Houston State University’s history. He is a SHSU Distinguished Alumni, an Alumni Service Award recipient, and a member of the COBA Hall of Honor. It is the Donor’s intent to provide one or more annual scholarship awards at a minimum of $2,000 each to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses. Award: $2,000.00 Deadline: February 15, 2024
