CPaMS Scholars is based on building a community for academically talented students majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or Physics. As a cohort, Scholars share certain activities and courses during their four years, while also having a group of mentors and advisors to guide them through college life and to inform them about opportunities beyond Loyola. As a result, a natural support network will be created for each Scholar made up of faculty and peer students. The CPaMS Scholars Program also provides scholarships annually for students in the program who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid to study computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics, or data science at Loyola University Maryland. Financial need is not necessary to join our program, and the admission decision does not take financial need into account.
