Cox Engagement Scholarship
A scholarship for students interested in community engagement The Cox Engagement Scholarship provides funding for hardworking Indiana residents who are incoming first-year students, are academically strong, have demonstrated financial need, and have a commitment to service. Enter IU classified as an Indiana resident with a citizen status of U.S. Citizen or Naturalized Citizen. Be pursuing your first baccalaureate degree. Be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours upon arrival and throughout your academic career at IU Bloomington. Have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher (4.0 scale) at the application deadline. Demonstrate financial need by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the federal government. Be willing to complete a 10 to 12 hour per week work commitment through participation in the Advocates for Community Engagement (ACE) Program during your entire enrollment at Indiana University. As an incoming student, apply to Indiana University Bloomington by November 1 for Cox Scholarship consideration. Please note: NCAA athletes are not eligible for Cox Scholarships. All newly awarded Cox Scholars are required to participate in Camp Cox, a five-day immersive leadership development experience held at Bradford Woods in late July.
